FAKTS produces AI-assisted assessments. Outputs are generated with the help of AI models working as a panel, the consilium. This notice is provided in the spirit of Article 50 of the EU AI Act, which asks providers of AI systems that generate or assist content intended for the public to make that clearly known.
What FAKTS is
FAKTS is an AI-assisted fact-checking platform. When you submit a claim, a document, a page, or a media transcript, the platform extracts claims and asks the consilium to assess each one. The result is a verdict, a confidence number, the sources the panel relied on, and, where useful, a suggested correction.
What FAKTS is not
FAKTS is not a licensed advisor. It does not provide medical, legal, financial, or regulatory advice. For anything with legal or editorial responsibility, use the Comply layer to produce a signed compliance record, or add an Experts review so a named subject-matter reviewer is attached to the result.
Human review is available
Two paths make human responsibility explicit and visible on the result:
- Comply. A documented human sign-off workflow that produces a compliance record (PDF and JSON) and marks the certificate as human-reviewed. Intended for regulated marketing, medical, and legal contexts.
- Experts. Approved subject-matter reviewers who are matched to a review request, sign off, and are named on the resulting artifact.
Disclosure on every result surface
Every check result, media report, site report, source profile, and certificate carries a quiet line that says the assessment is AI-assisted and links to the methodology. When a check has been signed off by a human reviewer through Comply or Experts, the certificate also carries a human-reviewed indication. That distinction is deliberate and visible.
Providers, sources, and where content flows
The consilium is built from independent AI model providers acting as processors. The specific providers are listed on Sub-processors. The sources the panel used are linked directly inside each verdict so anyone can read them.
