FAKTS uses only the cookies and local-storage entries strictly needed to run the product. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or third-party analytics that identify you.
What we set
- Authentication session. When you sign in, we store the session token our authentication provider needs to keep you signed in between page loads. Without this cookie or its local-storage equivalent you cannot use the account area.
- Locale preference. A small cookie that remembers the language you picked, so FAKTS shows you the same language next time.
- Cookie notice acknowledgment. A small local flag that remembers you have already seen the one-time cookie notice, so it is not shown again.
- Product state. A handful of local-storage keys used to remember things such as your Daily play streak, referral code, or the most recent draft you were writing, all on your device.
What we do not set
- No advertising or retargeting cookies.
- No cross-site tracking pixels.
- No analytics that identify individual visitors.
If this ever changes
If FAKTS ever adds a non-essential cookie, for example a product analytics cookie, a proper consent banner will be added and no such cookie will be set before you accept it.
How to clear these entries
You can clear the cookies and local-storage entries FAKTS uses at any time from your browser's settings. Clearing them will sign you out and reset the locale, but no personal data is lost on our side.
